A gilt bronze figure of Tara Tibet, 17th/18th Century Seated in lalitasana on the back of her lion mount wearing a loosely fitting dhoti with billowing sash, holding a waterpot in her left hand and a vajra in her upraised right hand, her hair arranged in a topknot surmounted by a leaf-shaped cintamani, her elaborate diadem and jewelry inlaid with turquoise, the lion mount bears a saddle blanket with foliate-incised border, with traces of blue and green polychrome remaining 9 in. (23 cm.) high
