In the form of a viola, realistically shaped with pierced apertures and wirework strings, enamelled in blue over engine-turned base, with black enamel neck, with cross-motif borders, the back hinged and openign to reveal the white enamel dial of a gilt full-plate bridge-cock fusée verge watch movement, one arm lacking, a vinaigrette at the top
