the loop handle with heavily chased flowers and foliage, the base set with a compass surrounded by the phrase, "Thos Seward Beachcroft OB. 15 Feb 1814. Æ: 44" on a black enamelled ground, the sides with chased flowers and fruit in relief and incorporating a push button to release the compass dial
The crest is that of Beachcroft.
