In the Elizabethan revival style, on spreading circular foot and with baluster stem, spool-shaped body and detachable domed cover with baluster finial applied with leaf-capped scroll brackets, the top of the stem similarly applied, the foot with foliage border, the underside of the bowl chased with acanthus foliage and lobes, the bowl chased with a band of strapwork and alternating Tudor roses and vacant cartouches, with strapwork and oval cartouche borders, on a matted ground, marked on cover and bowl, the underside of the foot engraved 'GOLDSMITHS & SILVERSMITHS CO LTD 112 REGENT ST LONDON W'
