A GRAECO-PERSIAN SHEET GOLD VESSEL COVER CIRCA 7TH CENTURY B.C. In two parts, each decorated in repoussé with encircling frieze of orientalizing animals including a bull, lion, goat and antelope, rosettes in the field, the lower bowl section with band of 'Greek key' pattern above and tongued frieze around the base, the base reinforced later 4½ in. (11.5 cm.) diam.
