A GREEK GOLD AND STONE NECKLACE
circa 4th century b.c.
Composed of small spherical beads and small granulated beads strung together with larger spherical or granulated beads with a single loop joined to a gold or glass (blue or red) beech-nut pendant, together with large spherical beads with a repoussé leaf-pattern punctuated with granules, each with a ribbed cylinder with a beaded wire rim joined to three short lengths of loop-in-loop chain which terminate in small beads with similar leaf-patterns and granulation, the beads with flanged calyxes, each with a granule at the tip of the petals, set with a bud of red or blue glass
