One of these fragments, that in the upper left hand corner, with the figural design, is from Kashan and dates from the 13th century. Others similar were also found in Egypt and are in the Islamic Museum in Cairo (La Céramique Égyptienne de l'Époque Musulmane, Egypt, 1922, pl. 124).
