A hidden drum and bells musical box by L'Epée, No. 12439 (circa 1855), playing six airs, with on/off levers for drum and castanet sections, volume control for drum beneath bottom-board, three right-hand controls on free-standing support bracket and typical L'Epée silvered bedplate, the case now refinished externally in black with iron carrying handles -- 23in. (58cm.) wide, the cylinder 15in. (38cm.) (old worm infestation to base of case sides)
