    A HIGO TACHI WITH IRON MOUNTS
    Mumei, 19th century
    The blade honzukuri, iorimune, koshi zori with extended chugissaki, itamehada, sugu-kogunome hamon of nioi, ko-maru boshi, ubu nakago, 27in. (68.7cm.), in its flecked black lacquer saya with extended kojiri and full iron tachi mounts, all decorated with cherry blossom and kuyomon in gilt nunomezogan, a similarly decorated umebari is fitted to the omote of the saya, the mokkogata iron tsuba decorated in nunomezogan with a dragon, late Jingo school, copper and gilt kuyomon menuki, 19th century, with Tachi stand (2)
