    A HUSSAR OFFICER'S SABRETACHE, AND ANOTHER SABRETACHE
    The first circa 1860, the second composite, 20th Century
    An 1854 Model Hussar's sabretache, with pocket of black leather, patent leather back and green cotton lining, black patent leather flap bearing a crowned Napoleonic eagle on thunderbolt (top finial of crown missing) in gilt metal (pocket etc slightly defective and lacking two of the three suspension-dees); together with a sabretache largely as for the Artillery of the Garde Imperiale, with dark-blue cloth-covered flap, trimmed with braid and bearing an original ornament from a Hussar's 1854 Model sabretache (2)
