A JADE-EMBELLISHED GILT-BRONZE CLOISONNE ENAMEL JARDINIERE
JIAQING YUTI INSCRIPTION AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
Of octagonal form, raised on four incised ruyi head-form feet, each facet set with an inscribed white jade plaque and decorated with scrolling red and yellow lotus blossoms framed at the corners by archaistic scrolls and set against a turquoise ground, the base with one red lotus blossom set amidst scrolling tendrils and framed by further archaistic scroll, the top of the rim with floral sprays and angular scrolls.
