A Japanese bronze and inlaid koro and cover
of compressed form, with everted rim, pierced silver handles and tall slender tapering tripod feet, the cover with a barrel shaped handle and decorated with silver and gold inlay depicting various toys and implements, the body with a mountainous and sea landscape to one side and a bird in flight to the other -- 6¾in. (17.2cm.) high, incised signature below handle, 19th Century, (minor rubbing).
