carved with the standing figures grappling with one another, carrying sacks and double gourds, on an oval base, signed -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) wide; an ivory netsuke of a man wearing long robes and hat, holding a large sack before him, signed -- 1¾in. (4.4cm.) high; and another ivory netsuke of a farmer standing beside a large corn pod -- 21/8in. (5.3cm.) high, (minor wear).
