A Japanese miniature brass and iron striking lantern clock (KAKE-DOKEI)
Second half 19th century
The rectangular case etched with a mottled patina overall, with iron top and base plates, with red and black lacquered revolving dial with gilt chapters (some losses, lacking hand), the two train movement with verge escapement and single foliot, with countwheel strike on domed bell, with brass-cased rectangular weights; on associated wall bracket with hood
The clock -- 6¼in. (16cm.) high, 13¼in. (34cm.) high overall
