The deep, rounded shape and small foot of this bowl are similar to those of a Junyao bowl of similar color illustrated in Song Ceramics from the Kwan Collection, Hong Kong, 22 July - 11 September 1994, no. 38. Another bowl, also covered with a pale milky blue glaze is illustrated by R. Krahl in Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, vol. 1, London, 1994, p. 233, no. 386. See, also, the bowl of slightly smaller size (5 ½ in. diam.) sold at Christie's New York, 18 September 2014, lot 735.
