The sword accompanied by a Hozon Token [Sword Worthy of Preserving] certificate no.342966, 28 March 1996. The scabbard accompanied by a Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu [Sword-fitting Especially Worth of Preserving] certificate no.226908, 24 February 2004. Both certificates issued by the nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai [Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Art Sword].
The blade is by one of the smiths of the Fujishima school of Kaga. It has the typical utsuri with jifu found on work of the Northern provinces.
