EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1750), SIGNED ECHIZEN JU KINAI SAKU
The thick, round iron plate is pierced and finely carved with large leaves branching from one stem on either side of the central opening. The edge has some iron bones--height and width 8.0cm., thickness 6.25mm.

This is the work of Kinai (d. 1760) a tsuba maker who was the third generation of the Kinai school.
