A KIRMAN CARPET SOUTH EAST PERSIA, CIRCA 1890 The ivory field with scrolling flowering vine around a cusped indigo medallion with floral sprays around a burgundy floral centrepiece and trefoil pendant above and below, the cusped camel spandrels similar, in a narrow ivory flowerhead, palmette and scrolling vine border between triple floral meander and geometric motif minor stripes, plain indigo outer stripe, localised areas of wear mainly in the central field at times down to the level of the foundation 13ft.1in. x 9ft.4in. (399cm. x 283cm.)
