Lot Essay

Upon request of the German Naval Command, A. Lange & Söhne supplied a certain number of movements to the watchmaker Andreas Huber who then completed and cased them.

Watches destined for the submarine fleet had to be fitted with a fluorescent dial to allow easy reading in the dark.
