A large Chinese famille verte fish bowl and carved wood stand, 19th century
painted to the exterior with a continuous scene of warriors and equestrian soldiers and dignitaries charging into battle, followed by foot-soldiers carrying large banners, before a mountainous landscape, the interior with large iron-red goldfish - 16in. (40.6cm) high, with wood stand raised on three supports and carved with scrolling foliate borders - 11 7/8in. (30.2cm.) high.
