A large famille rose mallet shaped vase
with flaring neck and pierced dragon handles, painted and gilt with roundels of coiled dragons and phoenix chasing flaming pearls amongst clouds alternating with vases of peonies and precious objects on an incised scrolling foliate ground, all beneath bands of boys in fenced gardens and butterflies amongst fruit and flower sprays, the neck witha further writhing dragons chasing a flaming pearl -- 20¼in. (51.5cms) high, Guangxu, (restored chip and hairline crack to neck, one handle restuck, rubbing).
