    New England, mid-19th century
    built up in thirteen lifts of mahogany, with gold waterline, black painted topsides, applied waist and sheer trim.
    15 x 75 in. (38.1 x 190.5 cm.) backboard.

    Applied to the deck is the remnant of a label from John Davis & Son/Ship and Family Stores/No. 204 Commercial and 179 Fulton Streets/Boston". The label marked in pen with additional information on the shipyard in Maine (label torn and missing a section).
