A large jadeite teapot and cover
with high rounded walls rising to the stepped shoulders surmounted by a domed cover with mushroom shaped finial, secured to the teapot with a linked chain, the C shaped handle terminating in a chilong dragon clambering over the shoulders, the sides and top variously carved in low relief with archaistic taotie masks and foliate scrolls -- 11½in. (29.2cm.) wide, wood stand.
