A large Japanese Fukagawa baluster vase, 20th century
decorated with lappet-shaped panels enclosing peony sprays, flanked by vertical lappet panels with cloud scrolls reserved on a trellis ground, all between diaper-ground roundels and blossoms reseverved on an underglaze blue ground on the shoulders and above the foot, with dragons amidst cloud scrolls below the neck, underglaze blue mark -- 28 7/8in. (73.3cm.) high.
