of shaped oval form on four cast and pierced feet, the border chased with rocaille and outlined with C scrolls and flowerheads, cast oak sprig handles, the raised central platform fitted with two cut-glass ink bottles with hinged silver lids, and a bellied silver wafer/seal box with a cast heraldic finial, 34 ozs, 39 cms overall.
