    A LATE 19TH CENTURY DUTCH SILVER BOTTLE HOLDER FORMED AS A NEF,
    MARK OF FA.JAN VAN STRATEN & CO., HOORN, CIRCA 1891/94,
    In full sail, mounted with six cannon & numerous crewmen in tricorne hats, an anchor dependent, one sail decorated with armorial shield & date "1749" below, the 3-tier living quarters topped by a canopy under which the captain & his officers dine at table, the sides decorated in relief with shell chariots drawn by hippocampus, complete with a silver-mounted cork bottle-stopper, 15¼ in. high (39 cm.), 15½ in. long (39.5 cm.), 48.25 oz.
