A LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT & CLOISONNE ENAMEL SPOON,
MARK OF IGT (Cyrillic), 1896/1908,
The ovoid bowl en plein enamelled with a spray of violet pansies on white ground, encircled by a cloisonné enamelled border of shaded green & pink scrolls on a deep blue band, edged with turquoise bead border, the tapering knop finial similarly enamelled with pink & green scrolls, central part of stem with spiral twist decoration, 6¾ in. long (17.3 cm.).
