A late Victorian ebonised and brass-mounted quarter-chiming Directors' clock, late 19th century
The case with brass flaming urn finials and foliate cast handle to the sides above sound frets cast with radiant masks, caryatids trailing flowers to the front angles, on stepped and moulded base with scroll feet, the arched silvered dial engraved with foliate scroll spandrels and with a Roman chapter ring, with subsidiary rings to the arch for slow/fast/, chime/silent and chime on eight bells/cambridge chimes, heart-shaped hands (later hour), signed JOHN WALKER LD. 63 NEW BOND ST & 127 FENCHURCH ST. LONDON., the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement hour striking on gong and quarter chiming on a nest of eight bells, with repeat signature to the backplate -- 30in. (76cm.) high

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate from the Friday following the sale and every week-day from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Please note that there will be no charge to purchasers who collect their lots within one week of the sale.
On the Thursday, one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
