Adrien Antoine Gosselin, matre in 1772.
Established in Versailles in the rue Duplessis, Adrien Antoine, son of Antoine Gosselin, who was also an bniste supplied various pieces to the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne for Versailles and Saint-Cloud. Usually attributed to him, the 'A.GOSSELIN' stamp could also apply to his father Antoine who worked actively under Louis XV until the Revolution and who was established in rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine, in Paris.
A similar corne-verte bracket clock is illustrtated in P. Kjellberg, La Pendule Franaise, Paris, 1997, p. 79, pl. C.
