circular box, the hinged lid set with a gouache miniature on fine canvas of a harbour scene, the base and sides with engine-turned panels of a coin pattern enamelled in translucent lilac, the gold mounts on lid and base chased with stylized acanthus, the sides with chased foliage and swags divided by pilasters
