A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU QUARTER REPEATING CARTEL CLOCK

The white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with applied gilt foliate half-hour intermarkers, foliate pierced and chased hands, the movement with circular plates and four back-pinned pillars, going barrel with anchor escapement and silk suspended pendulum, pull quarter repeat on two bells attached to the plain backplate, the case stamped on the bottom right side molding Osmond, surmounted by an urn finial with ring handles and foliate swags, the dial with glazed pendulum aperture below decorated with berried laurel swags and with a foliate-cast terminal
