    Lot Essay

    A number of bonheur-du-jours of this model by Topino are known including one in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris illustrated Connaissance des Arts, Les Ebénistes au XVIIIème siècle Français, 1963, p. 269, fig. 2. Other examples were sold Sotheby's, New York, 28 October 1995, lot 125 and Sotheby's, New York, 7 December 1991, lot 92.
