    The hood with brass-capped swan-neck pediment surmounted by brass finials, outset turned columns with composite capitals, the wavy arch trunk door flanked by 3/4 pilasters, with chamfered angles to the plinth, the gilt-brass dial with relief mount of Chronos to the arch, cherub spandrels to the chapter ring, with subsidiary seconds and date rings to the centre, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; composite, case, dial and movement associated
