The body of the locomotive was originally for clockwork, although there is no wear around the keyhole. It has been fitted with a pre-war Bassett-Lowke mechanism; one coupling rod is upside down and axle-ends have been fettled. The rear steps and guard irons have been trimmed and the step-stubs folded over. The box is for an electric version with running number 2536.
