A massive rootwood immortal group
modelled with a bearded immortal standing on one leg holding a double gourd in one hand, a root vegetable in the other, flanked a standing phoenix similarly poised and a boy attendant, above a complex flaring pierced stand -- 65in. (165cm.) high, (a few damages).
Included with this lot is an old black and white portrait photograph of the immortal figure.
Purchased by owners grandfather in Hamburg, CA 1910.
