CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS TO BOTH, THE TEABOWL WITH PRESSNUMMER 24, THE SAUCER WITH PRESSNUMMER 23
The teacup with an angular handle of lozenge-section and curved points, each side with a Böttger-lustre panel gilt with trellis ornament and reserved with a central chrysanthemum flower, divided at the ends by panels with a iron-red flowering plum branches enriched in gilding and issuing from stylised rockwork below the rim, the interior with a flower-spray, the border of the saucer with similar panels alternating with Böttger-lustre panels about a quatrefoil panel with four chrysanthemum flowers with gilt and green foliage about a central gilt chrysanthemum flower, with lobed gilt line rims (some areas of minute wear to both, saucer with small area of wear to one red chrysanthemum)
