A Meissen kakiemon teabowl and saucer
CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, SAUCER WITH PRESSNUMMER 2 TO FOOTRIM
Painted in red, yellow, turquoise, blue and black with the 'quail pattern', the saucer and exterior of the teabowl each with a red and a blue quail by a flowering shrub, another small flowering shrub and sprays of foliage, the teabowl interior with a stylised flowerhead, brown line rims (minute areas of flaking to blue and black enamels)
