A MEISSEN KAKIEMON TWO-HANDLED BEAKER AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1740, SAUCER WITH BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, PUCE K H C. MARK AND PRESSNUMMER 63, BEAKER WITH PURPLE K.H.C. MARK
Painted with the Schmetterling pattern, the double-scroll handles each with puce husks and foliate-moulded thumbpieces, each side of the body with a butterfly at rest on a flowering branch, the saucer similarly decorated, within pale-brown line rims (beaker with crack around upper terminal of one handle, saucer with four minute flakes to enamels and a minute area of wear) (2)
