Painted with figures on quaysides and with ships at sail within Böttger-lustre panelled and gilt and iron-red scroll cartouches flanked by trailing indianische Blumen beneath a gilt band, the cover similarly painted within bands of indianische Blumen and gilding (small firing crack to one angle of base and minute chip to rim, slight chip to finial and wear to gilding on cover)
