A MEROVINGIAN GOLD AND GLASS FINGER RING
Circa 7th Century A.D.
The plain hoop round in section, joined to the underside of the tapering circular box bezel, with three granules at the joins, the bezel centered by a collar-set lavender glass cabochon, framed by a band of granulation and twisted wire
29/32 in. (2.3 cm.) wide; ring size 7¼
Said to have been found near Stuttgart.
