with black painted brass lozenge-pattern frame, polished brass arc signed Neill Bros, Belfast and with further hand incised numbers to the left, the inset silvered scale divided 5°- 0°- 150°, vernier with clamp and fine screw adjustment, swivel magnifier placement, index arm hand engraved in three places H/B Terje Viken III, H/B Bilaica and A/B Hvalerc Tannberg, adjustable sighting tube mount, seven shades, mirrors, teak handle and pin feet, contained within fitted box with some accessoroies, securing hooks and drop handle -- 5 x 11¾ x 11in. (12.2 x 29.9 x 28cm.)

Neill Bros. were the successors to Robert Neill & Sons, and are recorded as working between 1850 and 1863 from 23 High St, Belfast.
