This vase is inspired by early Ming examples, such as the underglaze red-decorated vase in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in Sekai toji zenshu, rev. ed., Tokyo, 1981, vol. 13, pl. 78.
Another Qianlong example is illustrated in Chinese Porcelain, The S.C.
