modelled by John Bell, the playwright wearing a doublet, a cape over his shoulders, modelled standing with his left hand resting on a tree stump beside a manuscript, his head slightly downcast, on shaped rectangular base, impressed JOHN BELL, shape 200, year cypher for 1856 (right hand restored) -- 45cm. high
