A model of the racing schooner Meteor IV
the hull with painted white topsides, a gold cove stripe, a black waterline and a dark rust bottom. the deck in scored mahogany and fitted with deck structures and cabins is well detailed with: cleats, stove pipe, coils of line, two boats on davits, binnacle, double ships wheel, and other details. Rigged with two masts with upper and lower sections, spreaders, gaffs and booms, standing and running rigging including sidestays, running backstays, sheets, turning blocks, a full suit of cotton sails with stitched panels, and flags from Imperial Germany, the Kiel Sailing Club and the Emperor's private signal. The model is displayed in a brass bound glass case with a mahogany base.
