    A NI MAI OKEGAWA YOKOHAGI DO TOSEI GUSOKU [AN ARMOUR WITH THE CUIRASS IN TWO SECTION OF HORIZONTAL PLATES]
    Edo Period (18th Century)
    The thirty-two plate russet lacquered iron bowl with larger plates on the four sides, each suji wiht gilt fukurin and igaki, shinodare on the four larger plates, leather covered peak, forecrest of gilded metal horns and a gilded wood shishi associated, five lame black lacquered small rounded neckguard, simple russet iron mask [ryubu men] of good shape; the cuirass [do] in two pieces constructed with russet lacquered iron horizontal plates and the upper and lower portions of black lacquered iron false lamellae, hinged gyo-yo wiht gilt mon and three shakudo studs on the front and back bearing invocations, laced in dark blue and red close lacing, leather tassets in black, lacquered false lamellae, medium sized shoulder guards [chu sode] of black lacquered iron false lamellae, black lacquered iron sleeves and thigh guards mounted on blue hemp cloth and black lacquered iron shin guards and a pair of fur boots
