The arms of the first pair of saucers are those of Francois de Vicq and Aletta Pancras from Amsterdam. A set of dishes of at least two sizes were ordered for the occasion of their marriage in 1667. For an example of a plate with 'kraak'-style border, see C.J.A. Jörg, Fine and Curious, Japanese Export Porcelain in Dutch Collections, Amsterdam, 2003, p. 230, pl. 291.
