A pair of contemporary Japanese paintings in gouache on canvas depicting still lives, one with a dish of finger citron on a reticulated stand, vase of blossoming branches and further items, the other with an open fan, goldfish bowl and watermelon with cut segments on a dish, both groups within square niches before wood backgrounds -- 22½in. x 23in. (57cm x 58.4cm), (old wear and areas of restoration), carved wood frames.
