THE SALTS CIRCA 1700, GW (?) MARKS, THE WARMER 1713-1740, IVL 1 24 MARK FOR JOHANNES VAN LOCKHORST
The salts of waisted fluted hexagonal form painted with panels of flowers between foliage borders, the tops with a three-flowered plant surrounded by precious objects; the food-warmer of square form, the top pierced with a hexafoil medallion, the sides with a vase of flowers flanked by birds perched on rockwork among shrubs, the fourth side with a scroll-moulded lower part beneath an aperture (salts with some flaking to rims, warmer with chipping to underside of top rim and to base, crack to top and base)
