A pair of similar cups from the Weishaupt collection is illustrated by G. Avitabile, From the Dragon's Treasure, no. 54. Cf. a bowl of the same design and the 'Baragon Tumed' Mongolian script mark, illustrated by Soame Jenyns, Later Chinese Porcelain, London, 1987, pl. CXII. These cups form part of a service made at the Imperial factories to celebrate the marriage of one of the Daoguang Emperor's daughters to a Mongolian prince of the Tumed banner in 1842.
