A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND 'MEDALLION' BOWLS IRON-RED JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARKS AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820) Circular and with conforming foot-rims, each enamelled and gilt on the exterior with four equidistant panels containing vases of flowers and objects associated with the Duanwu festival, all reserved on a lemon-yellow ground enriched with flowering lotuses amidst dense scrolling leaves linked by ruyi, the centres of the interiors with a lozenge suspended from flowering tree peony branches growing on a grassy terrace, below a band of meandering lotuses around the rims, primarily picked out in iron-red and turquoise 7 in. (17.8 cm.) diam. (2)
